For instance, it is possible to have    two cats, each using their own door and unable to use each others. The Infrared collar tag is much easier for the door to detect, this along with the capability of adjusting the timed lock allows the lock to react quickly to keep other cats in or to react slower to allow more time for older cats to approach the door before it re-locks. The 500 series cat flap is designed to be mounted in doors or walls when used with the optional 2" tunnel extension. works great once I learned a few things October 31, 2006 Reviewer: Jennifer from Shell Lake, WI United States   No matter how many toys I gave my cats indoors, they wanted to be OUTSIDE & showed their displeasure at being kept inside by peeing! This door lets them come & go when they want & I no longer have the peeing issue. I've learned the hard way that the collar keys are water resistant NOT water proof. When my cats drink at their water bowl, the keys were getting a dunking & would die shortly thereafter.  As a result, my big 13 pound cat would force his way through the door either pushing the door out of the frame or, on bitterly cold days, cracking the flap in the process. Luckily, Staywell has 3 year warranty & they have been absolutely fabulous to work with! They replaced my flap & keys with no questions! I learned from a review on another website that it might be helpful to shrink wrap the keys to keep water from destroying them. I've ordered some shrink wrap & new keys & have my fingers crossed that I've finally worked out all the bugs, because when this door works it is FANTASTIC! Was this review helpful to you?

Good buy October 17, 2006 Reviewer: Janis Russel from Minot   My only complaint is its size. If my cat gets any fatter it wont fit through otherwise the door works great. It keeps our neighbor cat out and lets our cat have free reign. The batteries in the collar seem to last a couple months, the door works well as far as I can tell, and the installation from my brother in law was a breeze. It was so easy he bought one too and as near as I can tell they are just as high on the door. It works as advertsized. The only knock being the size, 6x6 is a bit small.
