PetSafe Deluxe Cat Flap September 30, 2007
Reviewer: Calvin  Westbrook from Fort Worth, TX United States
We had similar experiece to the previous writer.  We bought a PetSafe Deluxe Cat Flap at a national retail store.  Our cats destroyed the latch in one week plus the flap hangs in the open position and will not close unless you go outside and push it down.  I'm going to try a Staywell based on your customer reviews.

Cats destroyed it in 1 month November 2, 2006
Reviewer: Jim from Fond du Lac, WI United States
We were using Staywell flaps for years.  When I went to replace it I could not find anything locally except PetSafe. The stores charge about $20 for this Flap!  I found the flap hard to install on a thinner storm door. The locking tabs small and it was hard to center the flap between the taps to lock both ways.  We ended up swinging the door in and putting the tabs up to have the door open going in but locked going out.  The locking slide is made of soft plastic. Within one month the cats ripped the slide off and now the flap will not lock. I am here to buy another Staywell. The staywells stay locked. We accidently locked in a opossum on our back porch overnight. The opossum could not unlock the Staywell he had to rip out the entire unit from our door to get out. Thats why we had to replace it.

Pretty good. October 16, 2006

I am sure it isnt the best cat flap out there but we just received ours and it fit right in our door.. the cat finds it easy to use, and I didnt have any trouble installing it.

I'd recommend it for its simple use and the cheap price.
